Our membership is made up of a group of local people who meet weekly to enjoy each other’s company whilst discussing and planning projects for charity and the community. Our club is relaxed, informal and hugely supportive of one another. We are all people who are busy in our lives but are also individuals who  want to become involved in shaping and improving our society. We want to give something back to the local and wider communities by using our time, talents, and skills to help those who do not have the same level of opportunity as we have had. We recognise that for some, life can often be a struggle and we want to support and help them in developing their own opportunities in life.

We would welcome new members from every part of the diverse community of men and women that make up Torbay’s population.

Please contact the Secretary if you want more information  or click here to go to our “Join us” page.

We meet at 1.00 pm on Thursdays at the ‘Paignton Club’ which is situated on The Esplanade near Paignton  Harbour (See Photo above).

Hello Everyone -

My name is Marion Page.  I am the President of Paignton RC for this year.

I started my career as a journalist – but took a break to raise two daughters.    When returning to the working world I found myself, purely by chance, thrown into a-  then -  new technology -  IT.    I then spent 20 years working for an international insurance broking company travelling the British Isles as an IT trainer.

My hobby and my passion has always been the performing arts.  I spent 48 years volunteering with the British & International Federation of Festivals, and am still very involved with the local theatrical scene.   I came to Rotary through my husband who was already a Rotarian.   I found myself getting more and more involved with Paignton RC, particularly as the President’s consort, so it seemed logical to join.    I have thoroughly enjoyed being a Rotarian with the Paignton club.   I have had a lot of satisfaction from our charity activities, I was surprised, honoured and delighted to be awarded the Paul Harris Fellowship for establishing a new Interact Club in our local Paignton Community & Sports Academy.  I have found working with the youngster demanding but very rewarding.
